In 1999 as an undergraduate at The University of Virginia, Walter Slawski founded a catering company focused on serving organizations associated with The University. By the time Walter completed his bachelor of arts in economics, catering had stolen his heart. In 2003, in tribute to a magical African childhood and to satisfy his growing love affair with food, Walter opened The Shebeen Pub & Braai, and the Shebeen Pub & Catering Outfit was born. Continued success in our industry has spurred the creation of The Catering Outfit as a separate division, blending exceptional fare with comprehensive event planning and management.
